To all of you who, are not pregnant, or don't have any kids of your own... DON'T DO IT!! Why you say??? Cause kids will steal your youth, your figure, your original hair color. You name it. No, I am just kidding.
But, what a morning, I went to pick up my son's exit letter from his last school to enroll him in his new school. My child owed $180.00 in Textbook Fees.. you know on the cartoons when the characters eyes bug out of their head. I am sure that is how I looked. In any case, they didn't except checks, and I never carry around more than $20 in cash, and he could not be released until that fine was paid. So I had to leave the school go to the bank, withdraw the money, take it back to the school and then head to Gwinnett County Schools which is about a 40 minute drive to enroll him in his new school. The process at his first school which I anticipated taking all of 10 minutes max, took an hour, including my bank drive time. And, when I left there and drove an additional 30 minutes (no traffic), to his new school, it was closed. Why, because today was Gwinnett Counties furlough day (thanks Governor Perdue).
So, while I am supposed to be saving my time for MATERNITY LEAVE, I am slowly eating up my time....

I do not know why I was soo pooped, when I got home today. But, thank God Jai is getting a little bit older, and more independent. I was able to come home and catch a good 1 hour nap. Which of course, has me up now.
I am taking a Grant Writing Class this week, which has actually proven to be quite interesting.. I must admit that as he was talking I was thinking of ways that these skills I was learning could help my own company, you gotta love Professional Learning. I have managed to learn some pretty valuable and marketable skills taking these classes.
I spent a good amount of time this afternoon in Macys, searching for a new blouse to wear with my new pin striped pants. You would think that would be easy, but I swear I tried on about 30 shirts. Finally settling on a shirt and a sweater... Ugh And some shoes. If I wasn't in need..I would have found everything

Like with most things I keep wondering when enough is really enough. I always seem to find myself wanting another gadget and another one. Right now on my Wish List is the KINDLE(#1), a new Classic Ipod, a Nintendo DS, and then this morning I saw the Video Camera that I MUST HAVE its called the Sony Webbie HD 4x Digital Zoom Camcorder with 4GB Memory Stick. We were sitting in the hotel room this morning and somehwo the tv stopped on the Home Shopping Network and I knew then that I had to have it. I discussed it with hubby and after a long chat, he said you are gonna buy that aren't you.. and from their we just moved on. But, all these must have purchases just seem to add things to my list of things to bring with me every time we head to AL for another family event.

]]>Yes, Christmas is my very favorite holiday. If for no reason than I just love to see the kids faces light up when they open their gifts. And, this year is no different. Each year I think I work harder at making Christmas memorable. This year I may have gone a bit over board with both the presents and the decorations, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
The stockings are hung... and aside from us making cookies on Christmas Eve, I am ready for old Saint Nick to show his face..
We are spending Christmas with my parents and my aunts, just incase you wondered who the other stockings were for. I made them as hostess gifts this year and stuffed them with all kinds of goodies.
