Honestly, I don't know that I should call it that, but I am feeling particularly shitty today. The good thing about days like this, I get a lot done at work.
Right now that mostly means filing and dealing with the last of end of year financials. I spent a good part of the morning arguing what seemed like common sense issues... But at least they are finally resolved.
I sure could use a nap. Maybe Jai will be nice and let me take one in peace.
Sitting in my car, dreading going back in and dealing with people....
Well my boss is back this week so I left my laptop at home... So I will be attempting a rather lengthy blog from my phone.
We are now into week 2 since A moved in. The transition has been smoother than anticipated. I was really worried about our need for space and alone time but, we seem to have found our respective outlets.
With him, its his music once he puts the head phones on no one else exists. For me its those late afternoon walks...exercising, clearing my head and listening to the playlist of my choice.
I think Jai is enjoying having him there all the time. Even though him being there allows me more alone time.... Its more work. More meals to cook, dishes and clothes to wash, but I do end the day feeling a sense of accomplishment, even more so than usual.
I could use a cook though.... But, it is forcing me to up my cooking catalog and try new things. The plan is to try not to repeat the same meal in a 2 week rotation.
Well that's about all my wrist can take...more later.....
Well there are 25 minutes left in the work day, and today was a great day!!
I brought my personal lap top to work and got to do a lot of wedding things on it that just dont seem to get done in the afternoon at work. I was also able to download the software for my new phone and update my calendar.
I was able to read some blogs and respond without Big Brother watching, and I even went to lunch with my son today. The transition to middle school has been a hard one for the both of us. And, it really has changed the dynamic of our relationship and not for the better.
But, today we got to really sit down and talk and lay our cards on the table, and I got a glimpse of my little boy today.
So all in alll.. today was a good day!!
Things I love:
My Palm Centro
My wireless card
That Anwar comes home to me every night now
A new playlist on my Ipod
Walks when there's a cool breeze
A freshly detailed car
Things I hate:
People who don't know there jobs.
Dust
The fact that I am chronic worrier.
Waiting for my tomatoes and peppers to get big enough to eat.
Extreme Heat
Being so tired that exercise does not help.
I guess I am feeling the after effects of the move. There's so much to do I can't find time 4 sleep..
This weekend A moved in...still can't believe how stuff he has. We are working at making room for all his things.
Everything with the move still has that new car smell... In other words I am excited...
More to follow....
Sending this message from my new Palm centro
Well so much has gone in since I had my last opportunity to post...
So let me try to catch u up:
Orlando Trip:
We had a great time in Orlando vacationing without the kids is always so very blissful. Or at least that is how it seems to me, lol. We got to spend some quality time with my sister and her husband, we walked on the beach, and enjoyed the New Smryna beach in Sanford, FL. We outlet shopped, we ate out, and just really enjoyed each other's company.
My Car:
Last Thursday, I got up and headed out to work. When I pulled out of the driveway the car seemed to be driving a bit funny. I called A and told him what was up. I went to the gas station, and on my way out the car started spasming for lack of a better word. I called him again, he turned around and came back home. By the time he got there, he could not even get the car to reverse. And, it was sputtering. Ugh, we had to get it towed to the dealership. In case you hadn't guessed it. It was my friggin transmission on a 2006 car. Can you believe it? The car doesnt even have 70,000 miles on it. So.. some $3700.00 later, I got the car back. And, I am just hoping and praying that is the last thing that I have to fix on it any time soon.
Eufaula.. Eufaula:
Last Friday, we left for Eufaula to attend A's youngest brothers high school graduation. The graduation itself was way too long winded, but when they called that boy's name you would have thought everybody in the auditorium was there for him. He was loved. Saturday they barbecued for him and his friends came through.. and through..and through.. car's could not even get down the street they lived on. I think he had a reallly good time. And, we all got a chance to hang out as a family. It was a lot of fun.
I also got a chance to stay in my second choice for a Hotel for my wedding guests. And, I ended up liking it better than my first choice. I will stay at my first choice, because they are giving me a free suite for 4 nights, because of all the business I am giving them, though.
Wedding Workouts...
I am proud of myself, I have really been sticking to my working out regime, finding more and more things to incorporate into my work out to make it more extensive. I am walking almost 3 miles at work during the work day, and still walking with the kids at night and even doing the gym twice a week with my girlfriends. I also will be doing water aerobics come June, which I am very excited about.
The Kids...
My son is in NJ for a week, with his paternal grandmother he should be back on Sunday. Then he will be spending all of June and two weeks in July with his father. Then he will be back. I am still trying to find him something to do for the rest of the summer. Jai well she is a trip. She is still fighting me on the potty training thing, some days its better and other days its like we are back at the beggining again. The joys of motherhood... right..
Work:
Things are going well at work. Now that the school year is over, things are slowing way down. So my days are basically spent filing and getting ready for the new school year. I look forward to it though...
On another note.. www.timskipperphotography.com is who we plan to use for a wedding day pictures, he is going to do our engagement pictures in October. And, I will post a slideshow for you all to see if we love them. We will go with them, but check out his Photo Gallery and let me know what you think of his work..
Ok so there you have it..
